(Video) Arsenal players highlights during international weekend

The international break maybe boring for some, but as much as club managers dread their players suffering knocks, it is a good chance for players potentially low on confidence to star for their national sides which could have positive knock-on affects.

For Arsenal however, their international stars carried the invincibility feeling which must be present at London Colney into their respective national camps, with Arsene Wenger’s men leading the form guide following six consecutive Premier League wins.

The likes of Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez all put in impressive performances for their respective nations. Here are their best bits.

Alexis Sanchez vs Brazil

Chile lost to arch rivals Brazil at the Emirates Stadium in what was a repeat of last summer’s World Cup last-16 clash which was quite entertaining. If this friendly was built up as an Alexis vs Neymar clash, then there was certainly only one winner. The Arsenal man pulled out all the party tricks and in some cases was intent on taking on the whole Brazilian team on his own.

Aaron Ramsey vs Israel

Ramsey went to the Wales camp in good form, scoring two goals in his last three for Arsenal, but is still short of the complete performances he produced last season in what was a sensational campaign for the midfielder.

However, he was back on song for his national side, scoring a cute header before producing a piece of magic to set-up Gareth Bale and end the contest against their group rivals.

Olivier Giroud vs Denmark

Eight goals in his last nine Premier League games, it is no surprise to see the Frenchman take his form onto the international stage. After coming on as a late substitute against Brazil, Giroud was handed a start against Denmark and the Arsenal man delivered.

Mesut Ozil vs Georgia

In the headlines for the wrong reasons at the start of the international break, two solid performances against Australia and Georgia has reminded everyone that Ozil’s qualities on the pitch should be celebrated too. An assist for Thomas Muller capped off a wonderful display with Ozil pulling the strings from his favoured central role.
