Man Utd target Harry Kane insists future is with ‘big club’ Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, who has enjoyed a tremendous breakthrough campaign at White Hart Lane, has insisted he is fully committed to the club amid interest from Manchester United.

The England international has netted 30 goals in all competitions during his first campaign of regular first-team football, and the PFA Young Player of the Year is focussed on continuing his prolific form for Spurs next season.

“Spurs are a big club and I have a bright future here,” the 21-year-old said. “I hope to continue scoring goals and doing well with the club,” as quoted by Sky Sports.

Kane won Tottenham 24 points this term – more than any other player – and only Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero scored more Premier League goals. His stunning goalscoring form attracted the interest of Manchester United [via the Daily Mail] – though such a move is not expected at this stage in his career.

The Premier League season ended at the weekend, but there’s no rest just yet for the Spurs team, as the squad is currently in Kuala Lumpur where Tottenham are set for a Malaysia XI friendly on Wednesday night. Later this week, on Saturday, they face Sydney FC in Australia.

The forward has a busy summer ahead with the European Under-21 Championships to kick off on June 15 but, in quotes from The Guardian, will be given a rest by Mauricio Pochettino before the start of next season in response to concerns that his schedule could impact his fitness.
