The Brazilian appeared to walk over to one of his teammates before falling to the ground. This was a couple of minutes after he had taken a knock to the head while involved in an aerial challenge for the ball.

Medical staff were quickly on the scene, and he was stretchered off after a worryingly long time being treated on the pitch. As he was taken off some players tapped him on the shoulder, hopefully meaning that the situation isn’t as bad as first feared.

The match itself didn’t go well for the Ukrainian side, as they lost 3-2 to their La Liga opponents. They had gone a goal up before Sevilla scored twice in five minutes to take the lead. However, before half time captain Ruslan Rotan scored a brilliant free kick to make things equal.

It was not to be though, with Carlos Bacca scoring the final goal in the 72nd minute, pouncing on a defensive error to grab the winner and consign Dnipro to becoming the first Ukrainian side to ever lose in a European final.
