The French international has been in fine form again this season, cementing his status as one of the finest keepers in the Premier League and even in Europe.

This has seemingly alerted United in recent times as they face the prospect of losing their own star player David de Gea to Real Madrid this summer.

Louis van Gaal is believed to be keen on Lloris as a replacement for his current number one, but Pochettino looks to have ruled out any prospect of this happening, insisting his player is happy with life at White Hart Lane and not seeking a move away.

This comes shortly after rumours that the 28-year-old custodian was unsettled with Spurs and looking to join a club playing in the Champions League, with the north Londoners missing out on a top four spot once again this term.

“There have been a lot of rumours, but Hugo wants to stay with us and we are happy with him too,” the Argentine coach is quoted in the Daily Star.

“He is happy and everything else is just rumour.”
