With Manchester United linked again with a move to sign Everton right-back Seamus Coleman, here’s a look at five of the current squad Louis van Gaal could try to offer the Toffees in exchange…
1) Jonny Evans
A player already being linked with a move to Everton as part of the Coleman deal, Jonny Evans was not good enough for United last season and should be shown the door if they are to improve.
2) Phil Jones
A player who hasn’t really fulfilled his potential at Old Trafford, Phil Jones could be another smart player to offload to Goodison Park in a deal for Coleman, with the England international potentially surplus to requirements if new signings are made.
3) Rafael da Silva
A like-for-like swap, Everton could well be tempted to sign Rafael in return for Coleman, with the Brazilian right-back once regarded as one of the top prospects in the Premier League.
4) Antonio Valencia
Another player who can do a job at right-back, Antonio Valencia is not currently good enough for this United team, but has shown glimpses of top talent in the past.
5) James Wilson
An exciting young striker unlikely to get many opportunities for the Red Devils, James Wilson could be a decent signing for Everton if they are to let Coleman go.
