Manchester United transfer rumours

Manchester United’s plans for next season are starting to come together as Louis van Gaal prepares for some big decisions in his first-team squad, including transfers for two Real Madrid stars and the future of David de Gea

1) Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton)

A signing United desperately need in midfield, Morgan Schneiderlin could join for around £25m, though there is still lingering interest from rivals Arsenal. Winning this particular transfer battle could prove crucial in deciding which of the two rivals comes out on top next season.

2) Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid)

The world class centre-back that United have been crying out for for so long, Sergio Ramos’ future at Real Madrid is uncertain and there may never be a better chance for the Reds to sign him, so they must be sure to pay the required fee for this big name that could give them the quality and experience to be champions again.

3) Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)

A rumour with some real substance to it, it looks like Karim Benzema could be another big name on his way out of Madrid this summer, with United again strongly linked with making a move to snap him up. With goals a problem last season, the addition of the Frenchman could be absolutely ideal for Louis van Gaal’s side.

4) David de Gea (stay)

It could be that David de Gea will end up staying at Old Trafford, with the Spanish goalkeeper soon to return to training with the club ahead of pre-season. Despite strong interest from Real, it seems they have been unable to meet United’s valuation for the player, meaning fans can breathe easily for another year at least.

5) Robin van Persie (Fenerbahce move)

An underperforming striker with huge wages, Robin van Persie is a player United badly need to get rid of now, and it looks like the club are close to offloading him to Turkish giants Fenerbahce. The former Arsenal man’s time at the top level is clearly up and this sale will allow the Red Devils to rebuild for the future.
