Manchester United could sign as many as three Everton players this summer after recent rumours linking the Red Devils with an awesome raid on Goodison Park.

With United still in need of additions up front and in defence, these Toffees stars could be heading to Old Trafford for a combined £74m, though it seems unlikely that the club would let all of them go in one transfer window.

Still, the players in Louis van Gaal’s sights are as follows:

1) Romelu Lukaku

After a major hint from Memphis Depay, it looks like United could make a £30m raid for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, who is one of the best young forwards in the world and who wants a move to a club playing in the Champions League.

Romelu Lukaku doesn’t have the personality to play for Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal

2) James McCarthy

In a recent report from the Daily Express, £18m midfielder James McCarthy has been linked with an exit from Everton this summer, putting United and Arsenal on alert, though it remains to be seen if this move will now be a priority after deals bringing in Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin.

3) John Stones

Subject of a £26m bid from Chelsea, Everton’s John Stones is also believed to be a top priority for United this summer, with the club looking for top class additions in central defence.
