Tottenham defender Vlad Chiriches looks set to complete a move to Serie A side Fiorentina according to The Sun.
The 25-year-old Romanian moved to White Hart Lane as part of Andre Villas-Boas’s big spending spree, covered with funds made from the sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid, and hasn’t proven all that impressive.
The versatile White Hart Lane squad player, who can play at full-back or in the centre of defence, is set to complete an initial loan move to Fiorentina which should then lead to a permanent switch that would net Tottenham £3.9m.
Boss Mauricio Pochettino has moved to offload a number of under-performing members of his Spurs squad with Paulinho, Etienne Capoue, Lewis Holtby, Benjamin Stambouli and Younes Kaboul having all left the north London club this summer.
Pochettino’s side conceded more goals than any side in the top half of the Premier League last season and the Argentine has strengthened at the back this month with the signings of Toby Alderweireld and Kieran Trippier sure to help solidify the Tottenham defence.
