Tottenham XI with SUPERB transfer raids on Liverpool, Man United & Everton

How Spurs could line up with rumoured new signings.

A look at Tottenham’s possible best XI for the new season with bids expected for Liverpool, Manchester United and Everton stars…

GK: Hugo Lloris

Surely staying at Spurs despite links to Manchester United earlier this summer, Hugo Lloris will line up as number one as usual in 2015/16.

DR: Kyle Walker

After a difficult few years, Kyle Walker should get another chance to be first choice at right-back for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

DL: Danny Rose

A superb left-back who improves all the time, Danny Rose can continue to stake his claim for an England place by starting for Tottenham this season.

DC: Toby Alderweireld

An excellent addition from Atletico Madrid, Toby Alderweireld will surely become first choice for Spurs straight away after shining on loan at Southampton last year.

DC: Jan Vertonghen

Completing a Belgian central defensive pair is Jan Vertonghen, who remains a key part of his Tottenham team.

MC: Ryan Mason

A hugely improved player last season, one would expect Ryan Mason to be largely first choice in 2015/16, rotating with Nabil Bentaleb.

MC: James McCarthy

Targeted in an exciting deal from Everton, James McCarthy could come in to take the other central midfield spot at White Hart Lane, though Arsenal are also chasing the classy Republic of Ireland international.

MR: Ashley Young

Wanted in a move worth roughly £8m, Manchester United winger Ashley Young could be brought in to replace underperforming stars like Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend on the right flank, in what would be a smart deal for an experienced and confident attacker getting back to his best.

ML: Christian Eriksen

In a free role from the left like much of last season, Christian Eriksen remains one of the most important Tottenham midfielders in this creative playmaker role.

FC: Harry Kane

Last season’s breakthrough performer, there’s no doubt Harry Kane will be one of the first names on Pochettino’s team sheet in 2015/16.

FC: Rickie Lambert

Linked with a surprise move to Spurs from Liverpool, Rickie Lambert has shone under Pochettino before and could be a good signing on the cheap.
