Manchester United are hoping to make a double raid on the Premier League before the end of the summer transfer window, with as much as £54m to be spent on new additions.

Manager Louis van Gaal has already had a busy summer, bringing in big names like Memphis Depay, Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger, and there could be more new-boys to follow…

1) John Stones (Everton)

Valued at around £34m, Chelsea may be leading the chase for Everton youngster John Stones, but Manchester United are also known to be keen to sign the England defender to strengthen at the back this summer.

2) Hugo Lloris (Tottenham)

With an asking price of £20m, it looks like Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris could still make his way to Old Trafford before the transfer window closes, with United eyeing him as a replacement for David de Gea.
