3. Stones to force west London transfer
The big Chelsea news on Tuesday was that Everton defender John Stones had handed in a transfer request before the afternoon’s training session, and is therefore looking to force through a move to Stamford Bridge within the next six days.
The Blues are set to make an offer of £33m, which now that a transfer request has been made by Stones, could be accepted, the Telegraph report.

Chelsea are in talks with Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba and, according to The Independent, are confident that they can wrap up a £70m deal before the close of the summer window on Tuesday.
1. Costa eyeing shock exit
Spanish newspaper Marca have revealed that Diego Costa met with Atletico Madrid chief executive Miguel Angel Gil in Ibiza over the summer, and the striker informed his former boss that he’d like to return to the Estadio Vicente Calderon.
Following their talk, Gil allegedly phoned super agent Jorge Mendes to discuss whether a deal would be possible.
