Brazilian defender to SNUB major transfer interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid with move near completion

Chelsea have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Galatasaray defender Alex Telles.

According to reports from Turkish Football, the Brazilian left-back won’t be heading to Stamford Bridge before the close of the summer window, as he is closing in on a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

It’s stated that Galatasaray have accepted a €7m bid from the Ligue 1 giants, and his transfer could therefore be confirmed within the next few days.

Chelsea were understood to have offered €5m for Telles’ signature, which was rebuffed by the Turkish outfit.

Nonetheless, with the Blues having recently signed left-back Abdul Baba Rahman for £21.7m from FC Augsburg as a replacement to Filipe Luis, Telles is likely to have no longer been a target for Jose Mourinho, the club’s manager.

Real Madrid were also said to be interested in the 22-year-old.

He made the move to the Turk Telecom Arena in January 2014, amassing 37 appearances and scoring two goals, and looks set for a bright future with his development to continue in the Parc des Princes spotlight.
