Five most important Chelsea players this season, with new signing & ex-Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas

Ranking Chelsea’s five most important players.

A look at Chelsea‘s five most important players for the 2015/16 season, with former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas ranking high…

5) John Terry

Not necessarily a regular in the starting line up anymore, but if Chelsea captain John Terry can get back to his best for the club this season then he will surely be decisive in the title race. The former England skipper starred for the Blues last season, playing every minute of every game as they won the title.

4) Pedro

A new signing who could be just what Chelsea need up top, Pedro joins from Barcelona and has the pace, directness and an eye for goal to take the pressure off the club’s other attacking players, with the likes of Willian, Juan Cuadrado and Oscar failing to contribute enough in the way of end product in that area.

3) Eden Hazard

Chelsea’s best player last season, Eden Hazard may be a bit of a luxury, but he’s still the calibre of player who can make all the difference in big games, with the Belgian tipped to emulate world class names like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the near future.

2) Cesc Fabregas

Upon arriving at Chelsea, Cesc Fabregas really changed the way Jose Mourinho’s side played and needs to find that kind of form again. An assist machine initially, the Spanish international is now struggling to look his creative best and supply his forwards with the ammunition they need.

1) Diego Costa

Another summer signing from last year that transformed this Chelsea team from contenders into champions, Diego Costa needs to find his shooting boots again after a bit of a slump. After years of struggling to replace Didier Drogba, Costa looks the ideal option up front for this team, but looks a little low on fitness and confidence.
