Five outsiders who could be set for England call-ups, including Jack Grealish, Tottenham starlet & Liverpool target

Five players who may have earned surprise England call-ups.

Following news of Jack Grealish choosing England to represent at international level, here’s a look at the young midfielder and four other outsiders who could be about to break into Roy Hodgson’s squad…

1) Jack Grealish (Aston Villa)

Still only 20 years old, but full of talent, Jack Grealish has become a hugely important player for Aston Villa and will now be hoping he can replicate that for England after choosing to represent them at senior international level over the Republic of Ireland.

2) Eric Dier (Tottenham)

Moving into a new role in defensive midfield this season, Eric Dier has been excellent for Tottenham so far and looks ready to make his debut for the senior England side.

3) Jack Butland (Stoke City)

A top class goalkeeper who has become number one for Stoke City this season, Jack Butland has been in the England squad a few times, but still only has one cap to his name, though there are surely many more to come on this evidence.

4) Micah Richards (Aston Villa)

Completely out of the England reckoning for some time now, Micah Richards may be in with a chance of a recall again after some fine form since moving to Aston Villa this summer.

5) Nathan Redmond (Norwich City)

An exciting young player performing very well for Norwich City so far this season, Nathan Redmond’s potential has seen him linked with the likes of Liverpool in the past, and he could surely do a job for England as well.
