Arsenal set to launch €19.6m bid to sign former Chelsea forward in controversial deal

Gunners prepare raid for former Chelsea attacker this January.

Arsenal are rumoured to be preparing a bid to sign former Chelsea winger Gokhan Tore from Turkish club Besiktas in a £14.5m deal this January.

The 23-year-old is a talented young attacker who has shone in the Turkish top flight, though he does have ties with Arsenal’s rivals Chelsea, having had a spell there earlier in his career.

Tore never made a competitive appearance for the Blues, but could now get another chance to show what he can do in the Premier League as Arsenal and Aston Villa chase him this winter, according to Calciomercato.

The Gunners could do with more firepower up front after some inconsistent form from the likes of Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud this season, with Alexis Sanchez becoming the team’s main source of goals.
