Barcelona linked with Coutinho and could field this amazing XI.

Barcelona are so happy with Luis Suarez that they want to raid Liverpool again, this time to sign Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho, and here’s how he could fit in to their new-look line up…

GK: Marc-Andre ter Stegen

A fine young goalkeeper who looks set to establish himself as Barcelona’s number one this season, Marc-Andre ter Stegen remains in this slightly changed side.

DR: Aleix Vidal

Signed from Sevilla during the summer but not yet allowed to play due to the club’s transfer ban, Aleix Vidal is being tipped to replace Dani Alves as first choice at right-back.

DL: Jordi Alba

One of the best left-backs in the world, Jordi Alba keeps his place in the Barcelona team moving forward.

DC: Gerard Pique

A world class centre-back, Gerard Pique remains a key part of Luis Enrique’s team, though he could perhaps do with more help in defence.

DC: Aymeric Laporte

Supposedly a top target for Barcelona this January is Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte, a French youngster who has also been strongly linked with Chelsea and Manchester United in the past.

MC: Sergio Busquets

An expert at his defensive midfield role for Barcelona, Sergio Busquets is surely undroppable in this team and keeps his place in this line up.

MC: Arda Turan

Signed from Atletico Madrid this summer, Arda Turan will finally become part of the Barca XI when their transfer ban ends in January, and he could be the ideal replacement for an off-form Andres Iniesta.

AMR: Lionel Messi

Pushed out to the right flank, Lionel Messi has shone in this new role under Enrique and is always influential and dangerous from any position.

AML: Neymar

Keeping his place on the left, Neymar will remain a key part of this star-studded Barcelona front four.

AMC: Philippe Coutinho

Coming in from Liverpool for perhaps £22m, according to reports today, Philippe Coutinho could be given a key role as Barcelona’s number ten in this incredible new-look XI.

FC: Luis Suarez

Finally, Luis Suarez remains up front and would surely relish playing with Coutinho again after the pair combined so well during their time at Anfield.
