Jack Wilshere to pen new five-year Arsenal deal worth a stunning £31m

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is believed to be closing in on a new five-year deal with the club worth a reported £31million, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The England international is yet to make an appearance for the club this season after breaking his ankle before the campaign kicked off, but the report claims that his current situation has not deterred the Gunners from putting a new bumper offer on the table for him.

Wilshere still has two-and-a-half years remaining on his current deal, but the new contract has already been agreed in principle and will likely be signed in the coming weeks.

The deal works out at £31million, as he would see his weekly wage rise to £110,000-per-week over a five-year period.

“He has two years left and I want Jack to stay here,” manager Arsene Wenger said recently via the Daily Express.
