Jose Mourinho will make classy Real Madrid youngster his first signing for Man United

Jose Mourinho will apparently make Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane his top transfer priority if he is given the Manchester United job this summer, the Daily Mirror reports.

The former Chelsea boss is believed to be closing in on the Old Trafford job, with many sources even claiming that it’s already a done deal.

And now a report in Spanish publication AS is stating that Mourinho will make the young French international his first signing when he eventually takes over the reigns.

Mourinho first signed Varane for Real Madrid back in 2011 and has remained a big admirer of the player ever since, and still keeps tabs on his form and development at the Bernabeu.

United are known to be on the lookout for new defenders as Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Paddy McNair have all sustained injuries that have kept them on the sidelines this term.

However, with Zinedine Zidane now in charge in the Spanish capital, the deal could be more complicated than United would like.
