Chelsea make contact with AC Milan over Gianluigi Donnarumma transfer

Chelsea have reportedly made contact with Italian giants AC Milan over a possible summer transfer for talented young goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to reports in Spain.

The 16-year-old has enjoyed a breathtaking debut season in Serie A this season where he has emerged as the club’s first choice goalkeeper and one of Europe’s hottest prospects.

And it is now being reported that the Blues are already keen to secure his future and have made contact with the Milanese side over a possible move.

However, he is considered to be the long-term heir to veteran Gianluigi Buffon in the Italian national team, and despite his tender years he is already being valued at a stunning £119million.

Manchester United are also believed to be keeping a watchful eye on his progression, but so far Chelsea have jumped the queue as the most interested party.
