Man United wonderkid gets improved odds to play in Euro 2016

It is incredible what a difference a week makes. Just one week ago few people outside of his own inner-circle knew the name ‘Marcus Rashford‘, but after two incredible performances for Manchester United against FC Midtjylland in the Europa League and then against Arsenal, the 18-year-old forward has become an overnight sensation. With Euro 2016 just around the corner and several big names in question for fitness, Rashford may have earned a chance to compete for a spot on Roy Hodgson’s team.

According to the Metro, sports books have dramatically cut the odds on Rashford making the England national team for Euro 2016. Ladbrokes in particular reduced the odds from 100/1 to just 10/1 following the teenage forward’s sensational Premier League debut in which he scored two goals and assisted a third en route to a 3-2 victory at Old Trafford.

Wayne Rooney, the England captain as well as Rashford’s teammate, is battling an injury that has kept him out of action for several weeks and is threatening his chances of making the team this summer.
