Everton prepared to splash more than half their John Stones cash on African winger

Everton have launched a £25 million bid for Crystal Palace’s star winger Yannick Bolasie according to The Sun.

The daily tabloid newspaper states that the Toffees are re-investing the money they received from the sale of John Stones to Manchester City. The BBC state that City payed £47.5 million for the England international defender.

The Sun go onto state that Palace have already rejected an £18 million bid from Everton for Bolasie and have turned down the Merseyside club’s second offer of £25 million. Per the souce, Palace are holding out for at least £30 million for the DR Congo international.

Following Farhad Moshiri’s investment in the club, the Merseyside club have signed both Maarten Stekelenburg and Idrissa Gueye. The Sun goes onto say that Everton have also made an £18m bid for Sunderland defender Lamine Kone and are on verge of signing Swansea City captain Ashley Williams.

Bolasie provided six assists and six goals in 31 appearances for Palace in all competitions last season. Everton host Tottenham at Goodison Park this weekend for their opening game of the 2016-17 Premier League season.
