Antonio Conte has revealed that Chelsea legend Carlo Cudicini is helping him settle into life at Stamford Bridge, report the Daily Star.

The Daily Star quote Conte in explaining the benefits of having Cudicini work alongside him at Chelsea: “he knows the club well and for sure he is a person very important at this moment.”

There are few who know Chelsea like Cudicini, the former goalkeeper was with the Blues for a decade between the years of 1999 and 2009. During his time at the Bridge as a player he was involved in two Premier League triumphs as well as success in six other domestic competitions. He was also named the club’s player of the year in 2002, emulating fellow ‘keeper Peter Bonetti who was the very first player to win the award.

Eight pieces of silverware in ten years is quite a haul, Conte will no doubt be hoping that Cudicini can help bring that sort of success to the club during his spell as a coach. If Chelsea continue to perform as they have done in their recent league games, there will likely be more trophies to come for the Italian duo.
