It’s not been a good season for David Luiz, and Chelsea can surely do better in defence, either in the transfer market or by bringing someone up from the academy.

A player who has improved a great deal since joining, Emerson Palmieri has surely earned his chance to be Chelsea’s first choice at left-back next season.

Harshly overlooked again this season, exciting young midfielder Ethan Ampadu needs to be kept around and given more of a role next season. Worst case scenario, perhaps send him out on loan, but definitely don’t sell if it can be avoided.
