Super manager demands £6.5m-a-year wages to join his next club

According to El Futbolero, Marcelo Gallardo is asking for roughly £6.5 million per year at his next club, and Premier League strugglers Leeds United and Southampton are interested in hiring the former River Plate manager.

Leeds gave new boss Javi Gracia only a short term contract until the end of the season and the Yorkshire club might be looking for a long-term manager this summer.

Marcelo Gallardo has been named as potential long-term manager for Leeds United but the 47-year-old only wants a long-term deal and rejected a move to the Yorkshire club earlier this month.

The Argentine tactician won’t accept a lesser fee than £5m-a-year and that might be a stumbling block between the manager and his next club.
