“Wow…” Sky Sports pundit disappointed in what he saw from West Ham fans against Arsenal

Gareth Ainsworth has criticised the West Ham fans for their actions during the 6-0 defeat against Arsenal at the London Stadium on Sunday.

With the scoreline 4-0 at half-time, Sky Sports captured footage of fans leaving the ground in significant numbers.

In addition to the fans storming out of the stadium, Declan Rice was also subjected to booing before he eventually scored. Despite scoring, he chose not to celebrate against his former club.

Ainsworth shared his thoughts on the West Ham fans leaving the stadium at halftime on Sky Sports: “They’re absolutely leaving. And they’re not just leaving in their ones and twos. There’s hundreds of people leaving the stadium. They’ve had enough. Wow it’s going to be a tough day.”

The actions of the fans who walked out at halftime are indeed deeply disappointing and ultimately detrimental to the club. While it’s understandable to feel frustrated and disheartened by a heavy loss, abandoning the team in such a manner undermines the spirit of support and loyalty that is crucial for the team’s morale.

Absolutely, every team experiences highs and lows, and enduring tough defeats together can indeed build resilience and character. Walking out on the team not only reflects poorly on the fans themselves but also sends a negative message to the players and coaches.

  1. Yet another reporter jumping on the let’s put west ham fans down bandwagon!!! Why don’t you guys print some proper journalism instead of being so lazy? You all print the same old rubbish!!! West ham fans are known to be the most knowledgeable and loyal fans in the premier league. They consistently fill the London stadium every game and support their team home away and abroad in vast numbers. They have a right to vent their anger at moyes and Sullivan as they pay good money to watch west ham. The fans all left in large numbers probably 20,000 in all. And why? Because west ham haven’t won a game of football in 2024 and moyes plays the same formations every game. Defensive and play on the counter attack, this thrashing has been coming. They’ve been lucky at home v Brighton and Bournemouth despite being outplayed for most of both games. West ham need a change for the better and to be run properly like brentford,Brighton etc.West ham won the conference league last season so instead of keeping Rice by telling him they will invest in good players and challenge for top four they sell him. They’ve bought in over £45m and still haven’t bought a good centre forward? They have the oldest and smallest squad in the premier league and it’s a big problem!!!

  2. Agree completely with Kevin West Ham have a huge fan base and my only surprised that anyone stayed to the end.The second smallest squad yet the second highest attendance and the fifth richest club.
Yet only one loan signing and the summer signings were all covered by sales.Moyes has a blind spot when it comes to strikers how long does it take to buy one or two.We have had some good results under Moyes
but a lot more bad ones his squad selection his tactics
    and sub selection all poor.
It’s the fans that concern me the parents with their children in club shirts and a high percentage of old fans like me,75 years a fan as are all of my family and season ticket holders so I really have seen it all.
The Chairman a Hammers fan he can’t be would a fan sit back and put up with what’s going on,don’t think so.
