Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign coveted Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos, according to reports in the Daily Express.

The Red Devils have been keeping close tabs on the brilliant Germany international for some time now, with previous the club’s head coach David Moyes having scouted the player on a number of occasions this year before the Scot was given his marching orders last month.
And while Moyes’s sacking did cause a slight delay in United’s negotiations with the Bavarian giants for Kroos, the appointment on Monday of experienced Netherlands international team boss Louis van Gaal to succeed Moyes in the Old Trafford hot seat for next season has now reignited the deal.
As a result, it is now believed that an agreement has been reached in principle between the two European giants for the midfielder, who only has just over a year now left to run on his present contract at the Allianz Arena, meaning that Bayern are keen to offload the 24-year-old this summer rather than risk losing the player for free next year.
