According to the Argentinean site Ole, the two players were being transported in two vehicles when fifteen criminals ambushed both cars.
After the game against Lazio the goalkeeper left in his car and was followed by the striker, who was travelling with his brother and mother, when a few miles from the stadium the criminals stuck.
The moment of terror happened when they were both stopped at a traffic light, though fortunately the incident happened without serious consequences. Both players are now in Argentina and Higuain is now getting ready to play in the Copa America.
This happened right after Napoli’s 4-2 dramatic defeat against Lazio in which Higuain scored two goals and missed a penalty. The result cost Napoli the opportunity to qualify for the Champions League next season.
