According to Record, the Espanyol defender, who was previously wanted by Arsenal, will not be sold to Milan because he doesn’t hold a European passport and Milan do not have any spaces for foreign players remaining in their squad.

The first choice for Milan was to sign the Frenchman Aymeric Laporte, but the cost of 50 million euros was off-putting. Moreno was a more affordable option but Milan have again been thwarted.

Moreno is currently recovering from an injury he got during the friendly match against Costa Rica last week which resulted in him having to have surgery on his right foot. Due to his injury Moreno will miss the Gold Cup that start tomorrow in the USA.
