Everyone knows about the sharp eye that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has when it comes to scouting for the best young talents in Europe. He is rarely, if ever, wrong and the plethora of foreign players who have graduated from the Arsenal youth academy testify to Wenger’s hawk-eye vision.

So when Goal.com reports that Wenger is now eyeing the Olympique Marseille teenager André Ayew, you can rest assured that we all are in for a treat in the future. Ayew is an 18-year old fearsome left-footed striker who broke into the first team at Marseille only this season and is currently on international duty for Ghana at the African Cup of Nations. Sources close to Wenger have been reported to reveal that Wenger is impressed by what he has seen on Ayew so far and is likely to recruit him soon.

Oh, a little bit of trivia for you pertaining to the player. André Ayew is the son of Abedi Pele. And now, please don’t ask me who Abedi Pele is…..
