The Three ‘Marquee’ Signings that Could Help Chelsea Re-Capture Premier & Champions League Glory

With Frank Lampard seemingly on his way out Chelsea could do with a commanding central presence, a player who can link midfield and attack ably and Everton’s Marouane Fellaini is arguably the ideal man for the job.

The Toffees has been a huge success since his move to Goodison Park in 2008 and has consistently been linked with a move away from the club ever since he completed his £15m move from Standard Liege but perhaps this summer Everton will finally lose the powerful attacking midfielder.

Everton have had a good season but are unlikely to secure a Champion League berth and with David Moyes’s future at the club also up in the air there are sure to be interested parties sniffing around their top talents, Leighton Baines being another who could be on his way.

Fellaini is having his most effective season to date, netting 11 goals and providing five assists in Premier League action alone, but the Belgian has been quoted as saying that he is considering a possible exit from the Merseyside club sooner or later.

If Chelsea put in a big money offer this summer there is every chance that chairman Bill Kenwright will consider it and Fellaini may well be keen to make a move up though one would imagine that the Blues would have to secure a Champions League spot to persuade the 25 year old to push for a move to Stamford Bridge.
