It looks as though former England international Phil Neville is in high demand, with several job offers coming in for the recently retired defender.

Roberto Martinez has said that he is seeking talks with Neville about a possible coaching role at Everton according to Goal.com.

The Spaniard took over at Goodison Park last week and is eager to put his coaching staff together.

However, Martinez attempts at offering Neville a coaching role could be scuppered by former Everton boss David Moyes, who is set to offer Neville a coaching role at Manchester United.

Despite this, Martinez still wants to talk to Neville.

“I think Phil Neville is an Everton icon and I think he can bring a lot into his time as a coach,” said Martinez.

“I really want to speak with him and see how he feels about his future.”

Neville retired last week and looks set to move into coaching mixed with media work just like his brother Gary.

It is understood that new Manchester United manager David Moyes wants Phil Neville to take up a coaching role at his former club, becoming a bridge between the new coaching staff and the older players.

A move back to United could appeal to Neville, who won six Premier League titles during his time at the club.

He left United in 2005 to join Everton.
