Roma are said to be closing in on a deal to sign Man United winger Nani according to Italian source Correire Dello Sport.

The Serie A side are looking to bring in top level summer additions having appointed Rudi Garcia as their new manager.

Nani appears likely to leave Old Trafford having becoming something of a bit-part player at the club. The Portuguese winger has just a year to run on his current deal and is likely to see his first team chances further limited next season following the arrival of Crystal Palace wide-man Wilfried Zaha.

The likes of Luis Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young and Danny Welbeck were already ahead of the 26 year old in the Man United pecking order.

A number of sides are said to be keen on Nani and Man United may well be ready to accept offers for the attacker.

Roma finished sixth last term and have no European football to offer any new additions but are looking to strengthen their Stadio Olimpico squad this summer.
