Old Trafford side keen on Algerian international.
Manchester United have registered their interest in Bologna ace Saphir Taider, according to the Daily Star.
The talented 21-year old is frustrated with the lack of urgency over renewing his contract at the club, and believes he is not being paid what he is worth. “If the club value him at €18 million they why do they pay him as if he is worth nothing?” said agent George Atangana in an interview with Corriere di Bologna.
“He deserves more money and I would not be doing my job properly if I did not ask Bologna to improve his agreement and if a club like Manchester United is interested then you have to give him what he deserves if you want him to stay. At the moment, Saphir is not happy.” He continued.
The midfielder is a rising star in Italian football, who has also attracted the attention of Inter Milan, as he seeks a move away. New United manager David Moyes is keen on bringing in youthful talent into his midfield area, after failing with bids to sign Thiago from Barcelona and Luka Modric from Real Madrid.
Having lost Paul Scholes to retirement, for real, and talented youngsters Ravel Morrison and Paul Pogba is recent seasons, United are desperate to add some youth to their ageing midfield ranks. Michael Carrick is still performing at a high level, but he is yet to find a consistent partner in midfield, and Taider could be the guy.
