(Video) Cam Weaver’s Unstoppable Strike Seals Win For Dynamo

Lampson didn’t even move – Weaver’s strike was simply unreachable.

Houston Dynamo moved to within five points of Eastern Conference leaders New York Red Bulls at the weekend courtesy of a 3-1 win over struggling Columbus Crew.

Crew ‘keeper Matt Lampson had already conceded two goals before the 85th minute, when Cam Weaver struck one of MLS’ goals of the season.

Oscar Boniek’s cross from wide out on the right wing reached Will Bruin who, in what may well have been an attempted trap, ended up laying the ball off to Weaver beautifully. From the central edge of the area Weaver let fly with a beautiful half-volley, the ball sailing what seemed like miles over Lampson’s head and into the far corner.

The Dynamo’s victory leaves the Crew with the fourth-lowest points total in all of MLS, with only one win in their past eight.
