African striker joins Derrick Pererira’s side
The Red Lizards have made their fifth signing of the season and their second foreign player, 6ft 6in striker Raul Fabiani.
Fabiani who has joined Pune from third tier Spanish side Huracán CF, will be the first European player to join the Club.
The striker who represents Equitorial Guinea, has a wealth of experience in Segunda B, began his career with Villarreal.
Speaking to the I-league.org, Pune FC, Head of Operations Chirag Tanna said: “We are very happy to have signed Raul. He has an excellent record in Spain (Segunda and Segunda B) and we believe he has the necessary attributes to succeed in the I-League.”
Upon joining the club, Fabiani said: ” I’m happy to be in India and be a part of Pune FC which is one of the top clubs.“I’m willing to put in a lot of effort and want to help Pune FC win the league. I will try to score as many goals as possible.”
