Man United are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Everton pair Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines according to the Sunday Mirror.
David Moyes is set to bring in the duo in a £36m deal with Man United’s England Under 21 international Jesse Lingard likely to move to Goodison Park in a season long loan deal as part of any agreement.
The Old Trafford boss has been strongly linked with a move to bring in his former Toffees charges and after failing with previous bids this source claiming that Fellaini had agreed to one last emotional appearance against Cardiff City yesterday.
Left-back Baines also looks set to move to the Premier League title holders with Everton boss Robero Martinez seemingly resigned to losing his top two performers stating;
“They are top players for Everton and you always want to keep them – but you are not always in control of what is going to happen,”
David Moyes is yet to make a high profile signing as Man United boss and could well feel the need to bring in reinforcements to improve the squad he inherited from Sir Alex Ferguson.
