Man United have reportedly launched a £30m bid for Atletico Madrid youngster Koke according to the Daily Mail.
The 21 year old Spanish international has been in fine form over the past 18 months and has been strongly linked with a potential Vicente Calderon exit and David Moyes is keen to freshen up his midfield with the addition of the La Liga starlet.
Koke has provided eight assists in La Liga action alone this term, only Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas has produced more in Spain’s top tier, and could well be the ideal man to add some much needed creativity to the Man United midfield.
Marouane Fellaini has failed to impress following his move from Everton and is now sidelined with a long term injury. Darren Fletcher is only now feeling his way back after a lengthy absence through injury and Tom Cleverley and Anderson have been inconsistent performer whilst Michael Carrick has also had issues with injuries this season.
Koke offers a great deal going forward and has the potential to be a big star and Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone would be loathed to lose the locally born midfielder, who has already racked up 133 appearances for the club as well as seven national team caps.
