And With that blank cheque Moyes has put together a preliminary list of targets that he hopes to be able to bring on board during the January transfer window, the Daily Express reports.
The United boss has sent his scouting team around Europe numerous times and has compiled a list of names that includes the likes of Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke, Borussia Dortmund pair Marco Reus and Ilkay Gundogan, Porto’s Eliaquim Mangala and Southampton’s Luke Shaw.
Moyes is said to be keen on avoiding panic buys as former Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini has so far disappointed during his early spell with the club.
United Send Scouts To Watch Spanish Based Duo
United have stepped up their pursuit of another two big named stars in the transfer window too by sending scouts out to Spain to watch Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa and Athletic Bilbao’s Ander Herrera, the Daily Mail Reports.
The Red Devils are just one of a number of clubs taking a closer look at Atletico frontman Costa, who continues to draw attention with his exemplary goalscoring record.
Meanwhile, Moyes is still keen on Herrera who he attempted to bring on board during the last transfer window.
United Admit Defeat In Reus Chase
David Moyes has been forced to concede defeat in the pursuit of Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus during the current transfer window, according to Give Me Sport.
United had been hoping to activate the £30m release clause installed in the players contract, but have been disappointed to learn that it will not be active until next season, forcing them to drop their interest in him for now.
They may try again in the summer, but for now will have to turn their attentions elsewhere.
