Old Trafford star moves to Serie A.
Check in to Chelsea vs Manchester United
Man United midfielder Anderson has joined Fiorentina on loan until the end of the current campaign according to the BBC.
The 25 year old Brazilian has struggled to impress at Old Trafford in recent seasons and is now pretty much a bit-part player under David Moyes and a loan move to the Serie A side may well result in a permanent exit from the Premier League side.
Man United spent £20m to sign Anderson back in 2007 but the former FC Porto man has impressed only in patches and may feel the time is right for a fresh challenge.
Fiorentina currently sit in fourth spot in Serie A and have already welcomed in experienced forward Alessandro Matri to strengthen their attack this month.
Anderson has started just three matches under David Moyes and the Scot believes a move to Italy could be of great use to the midfielder;
“We’ve not been able to get him as many games as he’d hoped, or we hoped we might get him,” said Moyes.
“We feel it’s a good opportunity for him.”
The Man United man may well harbour hopes of making the Brazilian national team squad for the 2014 World Cup finals though his last international call-up was way back in 2008.
