The United boss is desperate to add some fresh faces to his squad at the end of the season as he looks to bounce back from a difficult start to life at Old Trafford that sees them currently sat in 6th place in the Premier League and an astonishing 11 points behind Liverpool in fourth.
Moyes began the season slowly and quickly identified that his midfield is in need of some serious rejuvenation, and recent criticism of his players in the middle of the park has only served to highlight his need for fresh faces.
United were linked with a move for the Italian international Marchisio during the January transfer window, but he sought to stay with Juve instead. However, sources in Italy believe that Moyes will return this summer with an improved bid of around €24m (£20m) to tempt the defending Serie A champions to sell.
Any move will likely be put on hold until after the World Cup, though, as the 27-year-old looks as though he will be a part of the Azzuri squad to travel to Brazil.
