Italians have already signed up United skipper Nemanja Vidic.

Out-of-favour Manchester United frontman Javier Hernandez is set to join Serie S champions Inter Milan at the end of the season, according to reports in the Daily Express.

The usually prolific Mexico international has largely found himself warming the substitutes’ bench at the Thetare of Dreams so far in this campaign under new Red Devils head coach David Moyes, with the striker now understood to be surplus to requirements in the north west.

In fact, in total to date the 25-year-old has managed to register just seven goals and three assists in his 25 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League champions, including only two strikes and two assists in his 16 top-flight encounters.

As a result, the Mexican has now decided to quit the Theatre of Dreams next season, with the player’s current contract at the club running until June 2016, with Inter waiting in the wings ready to lure Hernandez to San Siro this summer as new mega-rich owner Erick Thohir looks to overhaul the first-team squad.

And with strike Diego Milito leaving Inter this summer on a free transfer, Hernandez is set to take the Argentina international’s place up front.
