Old Trafford side to make big money offer for St Mary’s full-back.
Man United are readying a massive bid for Southampton full-back Luke Shaw according to the Sunday People.
With French veteran Patrice Evra linked with an Old Trafford exit David Moyes is frantically looking for a replacement and is set to make an astonishing offer for England international Shaw.
Shaw has been in great form over the past 18 months, form that has led to a first England national team cap at the tender age of 18.
Evra’s contract expires this summer and has been linked with a move back to his native France, with PSG and AS Monaco both said to be keen on the defender, this has led to Moyes targeting top names to fill the imminent void.
Moyes also remains keen on long term target Fabio Coentrao, with the Real Madrid star presumably available for less than the £26m earmarked for Shaw.
Moyes opted to use Alexander Buttner in the left-back role for Man United’s win over West Ham yesterday but seemingly doesn’t see the Dutchman as a viable long term replacement for Evra.
