(Video) San Lorenzo Players Attack Referee Following 95th Minute Penalty vs Indipendiente de Valle

Copa Libertadores game ends with fireworks.

There were ugly scenes at the end of the Copa Libertadores encounter between Independiente del Valle and San Lorenzo on Thursday night, as a controversial refereeing decision prompted some rater OTT protests.

In the fifth minute of injury time at the end of the game, the Ecuadorian hosts chalked up a last-gasp equaliser when Junior Sornoza dispatched a penalty.

However, the San Lorenzo staff were furious with the decision and swarmed toward the terrified looking officials as soon as the final whistle blew.

It is unclear as to whether they will face action for this show of intimidation, but it is most certainly a case of a team throwing their toys out of the pram.
