Southampton are desperate to hang onto the England internationals, but Moyes has been promised a massive transfer kitty over the next 18 months and has earmarked a significant chunk of it to prize the dynamic duo away from St Mary’s.
Moyes is already close to winning the race for £20m-rated Shaw after Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho started to have second thoughts about bidding for the player.
Shaw had been thought to be keen on a switch to his boyhood club but Mourinho’s interest in the teenager has cooled significantly as he has moved on to other targets.
Lallana has a price tag of £15m after his strong performances over the past two seasons have caught the attention of a number of clubs in the top flight.
He is likely to head to Brzil for this summer’s World Cup, but the fear within Old Trafford is that the price for Lallana could rocket if he has a good tournament and other clubs become interested.
