Old Trafford star Wayne Rooney continues to endure a fractious relationship with the press as he hits out at them for spying on him.
England star Wayne Rooney is furious with the English media for having followed him to Portugal whilst the striker is enjoying a break with his family, reports the Guardian. The 28-year old Manchester United ace is reportedly taking a short holiday before the World Cup with his wife Coleen and his two kids, and is very unhappy that he has been deprived of his privacy.
After reportedly being followed by the English paparazzi, the former Everton starlet tweeted:
Disgusting that English press have flew out to Portugal to follow me while I'm with my children

Rooney has also been recuperating from a groin injury that kept him out of United’s last 3 games in the recently concluded Premier League campaign, and also has a couple of fitness trainers around him to get him in shape before the World Cup in Brazil.
Rooney’s life, both on and off the field, has been under scrutiny for most of his career and the England international will just need to get used to the idea that he can’t escape the media, even when on holiday.
