Old Trafford side chase Colombian international.
Check in to Colombia vs Cote d’Ivoire
Man United will push on with efforts to bring in fresh creative midfield options with the Old Trafford side lining-up a bid for Inter Milan’s Fredy Guarin according to the Daily Mirror.
Having been heavily linked with Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos and AS Roma star Kevin Strootman it appears that incoming boss Louis van Gaal may have turned his attention to the Colombian international with an £18m bid said to be in the offing.
It’s an offer this source claims the Nerazzurri would be unliekly to turn down though Juventus are also said to be keen on.
The 27 year old has been a real success since moving to the San Siro in January 2012 but could be ready for a fresh challenge at Man United.
Prior to his move to Milan Guarin enjoyed four years at FC Porto, helping the club to three domestic titles and a Europa League success.
With numerous midfielders being linked with potential moves to Man United the likes of Marouane Fellaini, Tom Cleverley, Darren Fletcher and Michael Carrick may all be concerned about their long term futures at Old Trafford.
