Serie A giants remain keen on Arsenal forward.Juventus are still keen on signing unsettled Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski this January after failing to push through a move for him in the summer, it has emerged.
The Italian giants are plotting some ambitious big-money deals for the middle of the season, with Podolski still firmly up there on new manager Massimiliano Allegri’s wish list.
The German international was also linked with the likes of Galatasaray and Wolfsburg as it looked like he might leave the Emirates Stadium towards the end of the summer transfer window, though in the end an injury to Olivier Giroud persuaded Arsene Wenger to pull the plug on a deal for the 29-year-old to leave.
A firm fan favourite at Arsenal, this will come as bad news for the club’s supporters, particularly as the team still looks short of options in attack, even with the deadline day signing of Danny Welbeck from Manchester United for £16m.
However, Wenger is unsure over Podolski’s ability to regularly contribute to the Arsenal first-team, and may be open to negotiating with Juventus as they look to revive a deal for the World Cup winner this January.
