Wayne Rooney ready to beat Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton’s all-time England scoring record
Ahead of the Euro 2016 qualifiers with San Marino and Estonia the forward has declared he is targeting Charlton’s 49 goal record.
Rooney currently has 41 strikes for his country and doesn’t think reaching the milestone is an unrealistic target.
“It would be massive for me and make my family proud. Hopefully one day I will be sat here having broken the record,” the 28-year-old was quoted by the Sun.
