Arturo Vidal must change his attitude to continue to be a success at Juventus…
Juventus manager Massimo Allegri has informed star midfielder Arturo Vidal that he must improve his attitude after a series of incidents so far this season.
The Chilean was heavily courted by Manchester United this summer, but Louis van Gaal’s side could have dodged a bullet if these reports from the Daily Express are anything to go by.
As the source explains, Vidal was dropped for Juve’s 3-2 win over Roma last weekend after some late-night partying just 72 hours before the game. He was seen in a nightclub at 5am and was allegedly involved in a tussle outside the venue.
It resulted in Allergi dropping the midfielder and handing him a €100,000 fine – although the Juve boss has since claimed Vidal’s omission from the squad had nothing to do with his late-night antics but was rather a ‘technical’ decision.
He said: “Vidal’s omission against Roma was a technical choice. He’d played a lot of games as had Pirlo. What happened off the pitch has nothing to do with it, that’s a problem for the club. Now, however, he must have a different attitude.”
