O’Shea netted the winner against Germany.
One of the big shocks in Euro 2016 qualification on Tuesday was the Republic of Ireland’s 1-1 draw with reigning world champions Germany.
Toni Kroos gave the hosts the lead in the 71st minute, only for Sunderland defender John O’Shea to mark his 100th cap for the Irish with an injury time equaliser.
O’Shea’s former Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney took to Twitter to congratulate the 33-year-old.
Delighted for John oshea celebrates 100 caps with a great goal. Well done mate
